Chiming in from the Far North

It is has been a long while since we have posted here and the last post left everyone waiting in anticipation of the letter M....and it is about time I get back to that, but today I just want to share with you some fun times I had yesterday with the Queen Bee in northern Alberta.  (Side note--by yesterday, I actually mean back in May because I never hit the publish button....oops.)

A few days ago, we were at the drugstore and saw some really cute chocolate lambs, so we thought it would be fun to make a cake, so we bought a few.  It was Mother's Day so it was a good day to celebrate and used the lambs to decorate a cake.  I even lightly melted some Andes Mints to shape into a tree to add to the cake.

The Queen Bee also graced the table with some of her delicious homemade dinner rolls.  Yum!

And after all those delicacies, we took a little jaunt out into the bush to see some wild crocuses - and were blessed to find a pink one - which the Queen Bee had never seen before.
